Jasmine Straszynski

East Sussex - Just 15 years old and Jasmine is a already a talented performer, composer and writer of songs, able to play piano, drums, keyboards, organ and violin.  In her playing and composing, she is inspired by famous names such as Adele, Michael Buble, Christina Perri and the late Whitney Houston and she recently joined the Sussex Rock School to learn new ways of improvisation and gain experience performing in public.  

With other students from the Sussex Rock School, Jasmine recently appeared at CJ's singing three songs and accompanying herself on piano and she is now preparing for another appearance on the same stage late in October, and for the annual Sussex Rock School Christmas concert in December.  

Jasmine is looking to the future and to taking her music to higher levels in song writing and performance.   The Sussex Rock School is opening new horizons for her with opportunities for Jasmine and other students to perform in public as part of their musical experience.   With expert musicians for her teachers, Jasmine will be able to continue performing solo and as part of any band or combo.

Outstanding Young Graduate of Sussex Rock School Gains Place at Chichester College

Louis Forte

15 year old Louis Forte, graduate of the Sussex Rock School, has become an exceptional player and performer.

Sussex: The latest graduate of the Sussex Rock School has gained a place at Chichester College to continue his studies in guitar and popular music even though he is officially too young to be offered a place.

Louis Forte joined the Sussex Rock School for guitar and band tuition in October 2009 and since then has become an exceptional player and performer. He has played in gigs at least twice a year since December 2009 and was the star performer in December 2011 and this year in March.

At his audition, his talent alone caused the examiner to exclaim that “Louis was the best level 2 interview he had ever given and that Louis is already Level 3”.

Louis will study for the Pop Music Diploma at Chichester College and then go for a place on the Level 3 songwriting course at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM). He likes all types of music and began composing whilst at the Sussex Rock School. Louis' Facebook Page that includes some of his own compositions can be found here:

The Sussex Rock School is the longest running music school in the south east, celebrating its 18th birthday this year and continuing to offer lessons in guitar, bass, drums, vocals and keyboards to students of all ages in all kinds of popular music.
